Pamoja Zanzibar offers training for women in tailoring and sewing, in cooperation with Karume Institute of Science and Technology (KIST). The course duration is two years part-time (Mondays through Fridays 8 am - 12 pm). Our highly skilled and motivated teachers, together with a modern classroom and sewing machines for practicing, provide our students with all they need for their future profession as tailors.
Construction of 8 Classrooms with Sanitary facilitys:
Nungwi is a village on the northern tip of Unguja. Provisionally the school was started in 1959 and opened after the Revolution in Zanzibar in 1964: three classrooms and two huts. In 1996, with government support, the school built a kindergarten and a secondary school.
