Announcement

Discontinuation of Car Garage by the End of 2023

Dear esteemed customers!

We are deeply saddened to announce the discontinuation of the car garage and the water department of Pamoja Zanzibar.

Due to several reasons, we were forced to take this difficult decision. With this, the automotive training program offered at Pamoja Zanzibar since 2011 will also be discontinued.

The car garage will therefore cease operations on the 15th of December 2023.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank the God of heaven and earth for his assistance, provision, and guidance in the last 14 years since the founding of Pamoja Zanzibar in 2009.

ALSO, we would like to thank the revolutionary government of Zanzibar, namely the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, for the many years of supporting Pamoja Zanzibar in its efforts to offer quality education for the glory of God.

FURTHERMORE, we would like to thank our outstanding staff members who have dedicated their careers to the empowerment of young people. They have, in many cases, literally gone the extra mile to serve the Zanzibari people.

FINALLY, we would like to thank you as our esteemed customers for your long-standing support and loyalty. With your help, Pamoja Zanzibar was able to train over 175 young men and women as car mechanics. We believe that this has had a great impact on society as well as the economy of Zanzibar and Tanzania as a whole.

We are grateful for the last 14 years in which we were able to pursue the empowerment of the Zanzibari people of the Unguja and Pemba islands, regardless of age, race, religion, or economic status, to better their lives by providing them with various educational opportunities. We believe this goal has been achieved.

What Does the Future Hold?
Pamoja Zanzibar will continue following its goal of empowering the people of Zanzibar. The sewing school operating since 2015 will be moved to a yet-to-be-determined location and will continue training seamstresses in a two-year dual vocational training program.

Further, our branch in Pemba will continue the running of computer and English classes.

We are excited about the opportunities the future holds for Pamoja Zanzibar and with it for the people of Zanzibar.
